sick as a dog

since…ummm…Friday evening.  Went to bed and slept all but an hour of the past 48 hours or so…honestly I don’t remember. We had a Sunday?  Say it ain’t so. Missed it completely.

Strep Throat is a bummer.  Haven’t been this sick since I had chicken pox about 15 years ago.

Thank god for antibiotics…which I almost never take, but started yesterday am.

So…I can move about some this morning without freezing and crying in pain…oh my aching joints and head.   It feels like I won’t be needing to peel off yet another soaking wet set of clothes from the fever….I hope.

Staying hydrated is the hardest part.

Hope the ickies are done-er today. Here’s a toast of olive tincture, echinacea, C and Yin Chao cocktail to ya.

Done-er and Done-er. Appetite has returned…and my throat is bearable today. All that weight I so carefully cultivated the past few weeks burned up in 2 days of high fever. I just could no drink as much as I sweated/burned off. Yah, no herbals in the house….no echinacea, no arnica, no garlic, no chamomile, no peppermint/spearmint, no licorice, no uva-ursi, no yarrow, no sage, no calendula lotion, no honey….nothing, nada….too sick to go out but will be stocking up shortly!

  2. Oooh! I’m so sorry! I hope you are feeling even better now. I saw another post on my wp reader, so I’ll go see how you’re doing now. ((big hugs))

Betterer and betterer thank goodness…even with over 48 hours sleep since Saturday evening I am still bone tired but can swallow and eat, and slept last night without drenching the bed from fever. ((hugs))

    love and hugs xxx

Thanks M:e, think most of my fever induced delirium is gone. And I don’t hurt near as bad even if my throat feels like that of a professional linebacker. It’s finally summer in the Rockies….I am too sick still to go out to work in the garden.
