Dreams before Sleep

99-great-horned-owl

In the stillness

between here and now

I hear the owl

whisper my name

beckoning me

along the dusty path

to the canyon rim

where milky way swirls

suspended in the night

illuminate my life.

What a wonderful call to dreamtime… and to me OWLs are messengers of dreams, of what we know but do not acknowledge within ourselves. It takes me right outside into the moist and windy winter night. Oh, thank you.

Aloha. E komo mai, Kes, *smile*

I’m thrilled you stopped to read here, and add your thoughts.

This particular owl is a friend of mine. There were many moonlit nights where we shared conversation when I lived and worked in Colorado.
I’m not really surprised to see him given my mental state these days….examining my deepest desires and fears as a tool for moving on….

    Blessings to you.
